History of Sunset Slope Quilters
Shirley Hayes, Shirley Hanson, Ann Moss Robar, and Merriel Mathews met in August 1986 and the club’s name was selected.
Ann Moss presided over the first meeting in September 1986. Judy Slape was elected the first president. Shirley Hanson compiled the first newsletter.
By 1989 there were 48 members, 2018 there were 175 members and currently there are nearly 200 members of Sunset Slope Quilters.. Click here to become a member!

The purpose of Sunset Slope Quilters is to share our quilts through various outreach programs and perpetuate the rich heritage of quilting in America and to promote the art and perfection of the craft.
