Sunset Slope Quilt Guild

The purpose of Sunset Slope Quilters is to share our quilts through various outreach programs and perpetuate the rich heritage of quilting in America and to promote the art and perfection of the craft.

General Meetings are the second Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM, at First Presbyterian Church, 3940 27 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81506

Board Meetings are the First Wednesday of each month at 9:30 AM, Mesa County Library, 443 N. 6th Street, Grand Junction, CO  81501

History of Sunset Slope Quilters

Shirley Hayes, Shirley Hanson, Ann Moss, and Merriel Mathews met in August 1986 and the club’s name was selected.  Ann Moss presided over the first meeting in September 1986. Judy Slape was elected the first president.  Shirley Hanson compiled the first newsletter.  By 1989 there were 48 members. By the end of 2018 there were 175 members.
